PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable blower having a fan short in axial length and providing a low cost and a low noise. SOLUTION: A first conical projected part 22 is provided at the center part of a fan 21 of a blower 20 on the air suction side of a fan 21. A guard net 30 made of a molded resin comprising a peripheral surface part 3 surrounding the axis X-X of the fan 21 having an air inlet 33 therein and a surface vertical to the axis X-X of the fan 21 having a cover part 31 thereon is installed so as to cover an air suction hole 24 in a volute chamber 23 having the fan 21 installed therein. A second projected part 35 opposed to a first projected part 22 is installed at the center part of the cover part 31 of the guard net 30. Thus, a smooth air flow passage S can be formed, noise can be reduced, and the axial length of the fan can be shortened.
