PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide articles which are highly hard to fog, e.g. a mirror, a lens, or a windowpane. SOLUTION: The surface of a base material is coated with a layer containing a photocatalyzing conductive material such as titania, and irradiated with light. Thus, the surface is made highly hydrophilic. Then, a layer constituted by containing a photocatalyst is provided on the surface of an article, and water drops are prevented from adhering and growing by the high hydrophilic property of the photocatalyst in response to a photo-excitation, and the fogging is prevented from occurring. |
