PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide innovative haircutting scissors very excellent in product value. SOLUTION: The haircutting scissors comprise a pair of scissor halves 11 and 12 pivotally attached to each other at the bases of blades 1 and 2, with finger grips 8 and 9 joined to the blades 1 and 2. At least one of the blades 2 is provided with slits 3 extending from the edge 2a to the back 2b of the blade 2 and arranged in regularly spaced, parallel relationship in the longitudinal direction of the blade. Both of the blades 1 and 2 are shaped in symmetry with respect to the longitudinal axes (a) and b of the blades 1 and 2.
