PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set the total height of a product low and to increase a lift without using a large-scaled and separate device such as a load sheave. SOLUTION: In this electric chain block having an electric motor for winding, a brake for stopping rotation of the electric motor, a decelerating part for decelerating rotation of the electric motor, a sprocket driven by rotational force decelerated by the decelerating part, a load chain carried by being engaged with the sprocket, a load block which is provided at a lower end of the load chain and hooks lifted load, a chain bucket for storing the load chain and an opening part provided on an upper part of the chain bucket, in which the load chain is put at the time of a winding operation and the load chain is pulled out at the time of a lowering operation, the chain bucket is arranged so that an opening part of the chain bucket may be an upper side of the sprocket.
