PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile front pillar capable of sufficiently moderating the impact to an obstacle while keeping the natural rigidity of the front pillar. SOLUTION: In this automobile front pillar 20 formed into a cylindrical sectional profile and consisting of a front half part turned to the front of a vehicle body and a rear half part turned to the rear of the body, the front half part is formed of an impact absorptive part 20a for absorbing the impact by forming first and second bent parts 23 and 24 thereon, and the latter half is formed of a highly rigid part 20b for ensuring the rigidity of the front pillar 20 by mounting a reinforcing member 26 of a closed sectional structure thereon.
