PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for inserting an endoscope to be used with the passing resistance and the sealing level in the most preferable condition even if the size of the outer diameter of a flexible insertion part of a baby scope to be used is changed. SOLUTION: An O-ring 39 made of an elastic material is disposed in the passage of the flexible insertion part 21 of the baby scope 20 for the baby scope 20 to pass through, and O-ring compressing mechanisms 31 and 37 are mounted for compressing the O-ring 39 by an appropriate quantity to change the size of the inner diameter of the O-ring 39.
