PURPOSE: Provided is a control device for selecting coins in a game machine by sensing the frequency of an injected object and comparing the frequency to the frequencies of various fixed coins. CONSTITUTION: The control device for selecting coins comprises: a power supply part(100) having a voltage regulator therein; a signal detecting part(200) having an oscillation coil which generates a particular waveform when the coin is injected; a temperature compensation part(300) having a thermistor to compensate the change of the waveform caused by the change of temperature; a signal treating part(400) to rectify and smooth the signal waveform received from the signal detecting part(200); a comparing part(500) to judge if the coin is the proper coin by comparing the treated signal to the criterional waveform; a switching part(600) which generates a switching signal when the judged signal is received from the comparing part(500).
