PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a temperature-sensing metachromatic and color-mnemonic microcapsule pigment capable of being widely applied to a decoration field, a temperature indicating field, a toy field, etc., and exhibiting the function in which a color can tautomerically be memorized and kept even after application of heat or cool required for metachromatism is removed. SOLUTION: This temperature-sensing metachromatic and color-mnemonic microcapsule pigment comprises (A) an electron-donative and colorable organic compound, (B) an electron accepting compound, (C) a reactional medium determining an occurring temperature of a coloring reaction of (A) with (B) and (D) a conditioner of the metachromatic temperature having melting point different from that of (C) such as ethers or esters and changes the color while exhibiting hysteresis width (ΔH) within 50-80 deg.C in relation to a temperature-color density curve. |
