PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manually opening/closing device for a sliding door for enabling even an aged person and a physically handicapped person to simply and easily open/close the sliding door by vertically moving a rail by slight force by using resiliency of a tension tool and a magnet with a support pin as a fulcrum. SOLUTION: A pull-in side end part of a rail for suspending/supporting a sliding door for arranging a roller in an upper part is supported by a support tool, an opening/closing tool provided with a vertically operating shaft is attached to a pullout side end part of the rail, the pullout side end of the rail is connected to a shaft of the opening/closing tool, and when positioning the shaft above, the pullout side end of the rail rises, so that a sliding door can be moved to the pull-in side of the rail, and when positioning the shaft below, the pullout side end of the rail descends, so that the sliding door can be moved to the pullout side of the rail.
