PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a weatherstrip capable of effectively reforming a design lip by assuring the sufficient heat reforming area of the lip by a split mold. SOLUTION: The split mold for molding a design lip 3 extended in a crescent- like state along the sidewall 2a of a vehicle inside from the base end of a substantially U-shaped sectional trim 2 has a right mold having a semicircular- like mold 6a interposed in a space between the sidewall 2a and the lip 3, a lower mold 7 having a recess curved surface-like mold 7a for molding the circular arc-like lower surface of the lip 3, a left mold 8 having a base bottom mold 8a for molding the bottom of the base end of the trim 2 and a support mold 9 having a cylindrical hole 9a for guiding the mold 7a to mount the respective molds. The method for manufacturing the weatherstrip comprises the steps of raising the mold 9 when a semi-fabricated product H is set in the split mold and when the product H is taken out of the mold, to separate the product H from the mold 7, and retracting the mold 8 to the left side to separate the mold 8 from the product H.
