DOCKING SYSTEM OF COMPUTER

PURPOSE: A computer docking system is provided to enable a portable computer and a main computer to execute application programs by real time, and share the data and peripherals by improving common bus structure between the portable computer and the main computer. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a portable computer(30), a main computer(50), the first signal transmission unit(40) and the second signal transmission unit(60). The portable computer(30) with the first docking controller is operated by the first operating system. The main computer(50) with the second docking controller is operated by the second operating system in the case that the main computer is driven independently of the portable computer(30), but the main computer is enabled to do a dual micro processing in the case that the main computer is docked with the portable computer(30). The first docking controller senses the docking state between the first signal transmission unit(40) and the second signal transmission unit(60), and changes the operating system when docking the first signal transmission unit(40) and the second signal transmission unit(60). The second controller enables the two computers to share microprocessors when the portable computer(30) is docked with the main computer(50).
