PURPOSE: A method for preventing call origination subscriber information from being displayed is provided to prevent call origination subscriber information from being displayed if the subscriber does not want his or her own information in a call processing environment for displaying the information of the subscriber regardless of the type of a terminal for the subscriber, the inter-office signaling system and whether a destination subscriber answers a call. CONSTITUTION: When a call origination subscriber terminal attempts a call to a destination subscriber terminal, a subscriber matching unit transmits digit information received from the call origination subscriber terminal to a number translating unit, and then, the number translating unit transmits a translation result for the applied digit information to a call processing unit(201). Upon receipt of the translation result from the number translating unit, the call processing unit analyzes the received translation result and checks whether a call origination subscriber information display preventing request information has been applied from the call origination subscriber terminal(202). If no call origination subscriber information display preventing request information has been applied from the call origination subscriber terminal, the call processing unit checks whether the call origination subscriber has been registered for a call origination subscriber information display preventing service on the basis of a data base using the translated phone number of the call origination subscriber(203). If the call origination subscriber has not registered for the service, the existing call processing routine is performed so that the caller can communicate with the called party(204). If a call origination subscriber information display preventing request information has been applied from the call origination subscriber terminal, or if the call origination subscriber terminal has registered for the call origination subscriber information display preventing service, the call processing unit transmits a destination occupancy request signal carrying a call origination subscriber information display preventing request signal through a trunk matching unit to a destination exchanger(205).
