PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition which has not only a high flame retardance as PVC but also good mechanical characteristics, does not generate a harmful gas when incinerated, and hence is environmentally favorable. SOLUTION: This nonhalogen flame-retardant resin composition is prepared by compounding 100 pts.wt. polyolefin resin with 35-250 pts.wt. magnesium hydroxide, 5-50 pts.wt. silicone compound, and 10-120 pts.wt. magnesium carbonate, 5-120 pts.wt. silicon dioxide, or 5-120 pts.wt. zinc stannate. |
