PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition which, in spite of being halogen-free, gives cured products having a high flame retardance, heat resistance, moisture resistance and excellent mechanical properties, chemical resistance and the like. SOLUTION: The flame retardant polyester resin composition comprises (a) a phosphorus-containing unsaturated polyester having a structure in which a phosphorus-compound represented by the formula (wherein R1 and R2 are the same of different and each an aliphatic group or an aromatic group; and m and n are the same or different and each an integer of 0-2) is added to part of the unsaturated group, (b) a reactive diluent, and (c) a phosphorus based flame retardant in amounts of, based on 100 pts.wt. the composition, 25-90 pts.wt. component (a), 5-70 pts.wt. component (b), and 1-25 pts.wt. component (c) with a phosphorus content in the entire resin composition of 2.0-10.0 wt.%.
