PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wasteful consumption and emission of exhaust gas due to self-propelling by moving vehicles aligned on a road in sequence to preset positions. SOLUTION: A transfer passage approximately S-shaped in a plan view, which has one end reaching a riding stand A in front of a station and the other end open to the rear sides in the moving direction of vehicles S on the side of a moving passage R, consists of a straight transfer passage 11 and an IN/OUT transfer passage 13 via which the vehicles S are transferred along the moving direction, and a side transfer passage 12 via which the vehicles S are transferred perpendicularly to the moving direction. A control device is provided for driving a straight moving conveyor 2 and a direction changing conveyor 3 constituting the straight transfer passage 11 and the side transfer passage 12, thereby transferring the vehicles S, moved from an move-in end C into the IN/OUT transfer passage 13 and stopped there, to the IN/OUT transfer passage 13 having the riding stand A on the side.
