PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably support an electric motor and the like functioning as a driving source of a rotational driving system with a simple structure, and to prevent an excessive load from acting on an output shaft of the electric motor. SOLUTION: This driving device for an electric retractable mirror comprises a mirror base 1 fixed on a vehicular body side, a supporting shaft 2 raised on the mirror base 1, a mirror main body 3 rotatably supported using the supporting shaft 2 as a fulcrum, and a rotational driving system 4 rotating the mirror main body 3 about the supporting shaft 2. The mirror main body 3 is provided with a driving case 5 wherein the rotational driving system 4 is arranged and a cover 6 attached so as to cover an upper part of the driving case 5. The driving case 5 is provided with a motor supporting portion 20 supporting one end of the electric motor 7 as a driving source of the rotational driving system 4, and the cover 6 is provided with a recessed hole 31 to which the other end of the electric motor 7 is locked and a supporting portion 29 supporting a tip end portion of the supporting shaft 2.
