摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact power unit for a vehicle shortened in the longitudinal-directional length of a power unit and reduced in total height thereof. SOLUTION: This power unit 6 is provided with an internal combustion engine 20 with an axial line C2 of cylinder parts 23, 24, 25 inclined toward the rear upper side, a belt type continuously variable transmission 40 having a driving pulley 45 and a driven pulley 48, and a final reduction gear 60 for transmitting power from the continuously variable transmission 40 to a rear axle 75R. The cylinder parts 23, 24, 25 and the rear axle 75R are arranged in an upper side of the first plane P1 including an axial line C1 of the driving pulley 45 and an axial line C3 of the driven pulley 48, the axial line C2 of the cylinder parts 23, 24, 25 and the second plane P2 including an axial line of the driven pulley 48 and the rear axle 75R are made to be brought into a substantially parallel positional relation, and a reduction case 61 for storing the reduction gear 60 and the cylinder parts 23, 24, 25 are arranged to be layered in the vertical direction.
