PURPOSE: A tap water meter is provided to reduce error in measuring flow amount, to enlarge life span, and to reduce manpower, time and cost required for management and inspection by automatically performing a remote management and an automatic inspection. CONSTITUTION: A tap water meter includes a magnetometric sensor(120) mounted on the outside of a pipe body(110) and sensing magnetic change according to the rotation of a magnet, a flow amount detecting circuit(122) for calculating flow amount according to the repeating number of the magnetic change detected in the sensor, a one-chip microcomputer(124) reading a flow amount value, operating and integrating according to an inner program, storing in a memory and controlling action of external devices, a power supply for supplying required power to the one-chip microcomputer, and a communication I/O circuit mounted between the one-chip microcomputer and a sending/receiving unit(136) for external communication and making required data input and output.
