PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure lower-side clearance and to prevent the thickness of a seatback from thickening in comparison with heretofore without increasing the size of a seat. SOLUTION: In an electrically-driven reclining device RK, right and left upper arms 32 rotatable forward and backward are provided for lower arms 31 in the width direction of a seat ST. A seat cushion SC is to be fixed to the lower arms 31, and a seat back SB is to be fixed to the upper arms 32. The right and left upper arms 32 are connected by a connecting member 6, and the connecting member 6 is operated to rotate by a motor device 1. The motor device 1 with an output coaxial with the connecting member 6 is arranged between the upper arms 32.
