PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for rolls which is excellent in resistances to abrasion and heat aging and in compression set properties, has a hardness as low as 37 or lower, and is rapidly vulcanized. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a random copolymer rubber comprising structural units derived from ethylene, a 3-20Cα-olefin, and a triene compound represented by formula [1], (B) a vulcanizing agent, and (C) a filler. The random copolymer rubber has a molar ratio of ethylene to the 3-20Cα- olefin of (99/1)-(30/70), a content of structural units derived from the triene compound of 0.1-30 mol%, and an intrinsic viscosity [η] (measured at 135 deg.C in decalin) of 0.1-10 dL/g.
