摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition which can be made into a high quality industrial finishing agent well-balanced in various properties, an ultraviolet and electron curable coating agent, a reaction modifier and the like by allowing a lactone to react with other ethylenically unsaturated monomers at a mixing ratio for conventional bridging agents and other common components, an acrylic resin using same, and a method of producing the composition. SOLUTION: A polylactone modified hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate composition can be obtained by effecting ring-opening polymerization of a lactone to a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate represented by the formula (wherein R, R1, R2, and R3 are each independently H or CH3; nR4 and nR5 are each independently H a 1-12C alkyl; x is 4-7; n and n in the composition are each 0 or an integer of 1 or greater and the average value of n in the composition is 0.35 to less than 1) and has a ratio of a monomer having two or more (>=2) lactone chains of lens than 50%. The acrylic resin using this composition and the method of producing the composition are provided.
