PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminate for a paper container comprising a multilayered laminated base material based on a paper layer and the paper container constituted of this laminate and reduced in the transfer of a low-molecular-weight component or the like from the multilayered laminated base material to content and the lowering of laminate strength caused by the components of the content. SOLUTION: A laminate for a paper container comprises a multilayered laminated base material and the sealant layer of the multilayered laminated base material comprises a resin composition consisting of (A) a polyolefin resin, (B) an ethylenic copolymer containing at least one of a carboxylic acid, an acid anhydride thereof and a carboxylic acid ion crosslinked compound and (C) an epoxy compound with a molecular weight of 3,000 or less having two or more epoxy groups in its molecule and the compounding ratio of the components (A), (B), (C) is set so that the content of the component (C) to the [(A)+(C)] component is 0.01-5 weight % and the component (B) is below 30 weight %.
