PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fouling of electrodes caused by ink and short circuit between the electrodes. SOLUTION: On the upper surface 6a of a carriage 6, a projection part 13 in which a carriage side flexible substrate 7 having carriage side contact pads 3 is installed on the side is formed. In the recession part 12 of an ink-jet cartridge 1, a cartridge side flexible substrate 2 having cartridge side contact pads 14 is installed. With the recession part 12 and the projection part 13 engaged with each other, each carriage side contact pad 3 and each cartridge side contract pad 14 are brought into mechanical contact with each other to form the electric contact between them. |
