INK-JET TYPE RECORDING APPARATUS, AND, METHOD FOR DRIVING INK-JET TYPE RECORDING HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet type recording apparatus and its method for driving a recording head whereby a meniscus at a nozzle opening can be properly controlled in behavior and very small ink drops can be stably discharged from the nozzle opening of a large aperture size. SOLUTION: The apparatus has the recording head for discharging ink by changing a pressure in a pressure chamber communicated to the nozzle opening in accordance with driving signals. The apparatus uses micro dot driving pulses when printing by micro dots. The driving pulse is constituted by sequentially connecting a charging element Pwc1 for drawing in the meniscus large, a discharging element Pwd1 for pushing out the meniscus small, and a charging element Pwc2 for drawing in the meniscus small.
