SINGLE FREQUENCY LASER HAVING WAVE-LENGTH VARIABLE

PURPOSE: A single frequency laser having a wave-length variable is provided to streamline the device while varying oscillation wave-length easily and vary wave-length in the whole range of laser oscillation. CONSTITUTION: A single frequency laser having a wave-length variable has reflection mirrors(105,106) on both ends. The reflection mirrors(105,106) have optic-fiber coated with mirror. A laser gain medium(101) users optic-fiber added by Er. A laser diode(107) having a 980nm wave-length pumps the gain medium(101). A frequency-adding converter(102) and a frequency-subtracting converter(103) converts the frequency by -F or F respectively and works also as a frequency varying optical filter. An optical path(109) uses a single mode optic-fiber. An optic-fiber combiner(108) watches the laser output of the laser.
