PURPOSE: Provided is a method for processing burnished leather, by which the leather is polished much and the original form of the leather dose not be deformed even though a physical pressure is applied. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: selecting good raw-leather; presoaking the good raw-leather in water; fleshing the leather to eliminate fat and filth; soaking the leather in water mixed with a detergent, an antiseptic, an enzyme, and soda ash; unhairing the leather; liming; splitting the leather; scudding; reliming; deliming the leather by using water with the detergent, ammonium sulfate, and ammonium chloride; batting the leather by using an enzyme; pickling the leather in water with an acid and salt; chromium-tanning; horse up; samming; shaving the leather to control thickness; neutralizing; dyeing; adding fat to the leather; drying at a low temperature; seasoning; milling; stretching the leather by using toggle; spraying and coating by a burnished method; inspecting; and measuring.
