PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of alumina sagger is provided to save manufacturing costs and improve mechanical properties by coating with ZrO2 after giving surface roughness to the surface of sagger. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: manufacturing alumina sagger by mixing 70-95wt.% of alumina, 4-29wt.% of silicon oxide, and other oxides, as Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, TiO2, Na2O and K2O, with a binder(polyvinyl alcohol); forming and expressing roughness(embossing) on the surface of formed body to have less than 50micrometer of surface roughness in sintered sagger; sintering at 1380deg.C; coating with ZrO2 to be 30-1000micrometer of thickness by plasma spray or thermal spray, where the sagger is coated in a direction of slant of less than 70deg.C after being fixed in a rotation of 40-50deg.C, in case that the angle of sill in sagger is more than 80deg.C.
