PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for connecting and disconnecting wired/wireless communication networks are provided to minimize the interface between a wired communication network and a wireless communication network by making call connection achieved without using a wired communication network, in the case of connecting a call with a wireless communication terminal using a wired communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: The first matching unit(31), connected with a wired communication terminal, such as a wired telephone, a facsimile or a PC, matches the signals of a communication path. A DTMF/hook detection unit(35) detects a DTMF signal and a hook on/off state. A selective connection unit(32) selectively connects the call connection with the wired communication terminal to a wired communication path or a wireless communication path. The second signal matching unit(33) matches the signals of the communication path between the selective connection unit(32) and a wired communication network. The third signal matching unit(34) matches the signals of the communication path between the selective connection unit(32) and a wireless communication network. The call detection unit(38) detects a call connection state with the wired communication network or the wireless communication network. The radio transceiver unit(40) is connected with the wireless communication network by wireless. The control unit(36) controls the switching operations of the selective connection unit(32) and the transmitting/receiving operations of the radio transceiver unit(40) according to the signals detected from the DTMF/hook detection unit(35) or the call detection unit(38). The storage unit(37) discriminatively stores the data necessary for the control operations of the control unit(36).
