METHOD FOR PROCESSING HAND OFF OF ASYNCHRONOUS MOBILE STATION FROM ASYNCHRONOUS SYSTEM TO SYNCHRONOUS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for processing hand off of asynchronous mobile station from asynchronous system to synchronous system is provided to know information of the synchronous system in the asynchronous system when performing hand off from asynchronous system to synchronous system, thereby capable of performing a smooth hand off. CONSTITUTION: In the beginning of a network, an asynchronous base station transmits neighbor list of circumference synchronous base station to a mobile station in order to store the information(S1). Thereafter, the asynchronous base station calling to the mobile station searches a neighborhood asynchronous wireless network according to information received from the mobile station and then discriminates whether there is a proper hand-off asynchronous base station(S2). When there is a proper hand-off asynchronous base station, a hand-off is performed to the corresponding asynchronous base station(S10). When there is no a proper hand-off asynchronous base station, the asynchronous base station transmits message that do search the synchronous base station as RRC(Radio Resource Control) message(S3). RRC message is in need of using after defining newly or after correcting the previous message. At this stage, the mobile operates in compressed mode and then searches the information on the synchronous base station.
