<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily realize jam process in a sheet supply unit on the precondition that an image forming device has the sheet supply unit. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises an image forming unit 1 storing image making module 2 for making an image onto a supplied recording sheet 5, and the sheet supply unit 3 that is arranged in parallel with the image forming unit 1 or has a plurality of stages of sheet supply tray 4 (for example, 4a-4c) and feeds the recording sheet 5 stored in the sheet supply tray 4 to the image forming unit 1 side. As the sheet supply unit 3, a sheet conveying passage from at least part of sheet supply tray 4 (in this example, 4a, 4b) is structured as a bypass conveying passage 6 extending from the opposite side of the image forming unit 1. A unit case 7 positioned on the opposite side of the image forming unit 1 comprises an opening/closing cover 8 opened or closed facing to the bypass conveying passage 6.
