PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a package for keeping the freshness of vegetables and fruits, excellent in freshness keeping effect despite the use of biodegradable plastic film(s). SOLUTION: This package for keeping the freshness of vegetables and fruits is obtained by making a seal-package of fruits with biodegradable plastic film(s); wherein the gas concentration in the package can be adjusted so as to be lower in oxygen level and higher in carbon dioxide level than those in the atmosphere.
