摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of suppressing reduction in responsiveness during opening the valve, and ensuring good machinability at the time when an injection hole is formed. SOLUTION: The fuel injection valve is provided with a poppet 9 housed in a swirl nozzle 2 to wbich fuel is fed, a swirl collar 5 fitted in the swirl nozzle 2 and having a through hole through which the poppet 9 is slidably passed, and a suction hole 8 which is formed on the downstream side of a valve seat 6 of the poppet 9 and the bearing surface of which is formed into a spherical recessed surface. The suction hole 8 and the outside are connected through an injection hole 7 for injecting fuel. Further, the swirl nozzle 2 is formed so that its outer end part 4a positioned at the outlet part of the injection hole crosses the extending direction of the injection hole 7 at right angles. When the poppet 9 moves apart from the valve seat 6 to open the fuel injection valve, the fuel passed through a swirl groove 5b of the swirl collar 5 is introduced into the suck-hole while spirally turning, and is then injected from the suction hole 8 through the injection hole 7.
