PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater which solves such problems as difficulty in operation and display check in a dark place of the electric water heater housing hot water in a vessel and facilitates the display check of an operation section and the check of a main body by printing the electric water heater with pigments containing light storage agents. SOLUTION: This electric water heater allows the easy check of a membrane sheet 31 and a caution arousing seal 35 in a dark room and the check of the presence of the main body 8 in the dark room by incorporating the light storage agents into the membrane sheet 31, an operation explanation part 33, the caution arousing seal 35, an upper frame 61, the main body 62 and a lid 63.
