PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of a conventional biodegradable food container such as inability to be used for a long time when food with a large amount of moisture is put in even if the container is thrown away after use to limit satisfactory use as a product. SOLUTION: Glass splits are added to a raw material with starch as a main component to be expansion-molded. The glass splits are moved close to the surfaces of a food container and arranged into a large number of layers in parallel with one another. In addition, the sizes of the glass splits are 50-200 mesh, and the amount of addition of the glass splits to the main component is 5-50 wt.%.
