PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jig for separating nursery pots, capable of cutting off a joined pot mutually joined at the periphery parts of open parts of a plurality of nursery pots arranged longitudinally and latitudinally, to form each unit, and further to provide a separation method. SOLUTION: This jig for separating the nursery pots 2a and 2b has a frame member 11 having lattice-like partitions 15 formed at the position corresponding to each nursery pots 2a and 2b respectively, and carrying the nursery pots 2a and 2b in the fitted state of the nursery pots 2a and 2b, and a pushing member 16 for cutting off the nursery pots 2a and 2b by the partition frames 15 by pushing the nursery pots 2a in a jigzag position from the upper part of the frame member 11 to make the nursery pots simple units and to drop the units into the pot-storing parts (concave parts) of the resin case 4. The nursery pots 2 are separated to form the units by pushing the nursery pots 2a by the pushing members 16.
