PURPOSE: An antenna connection device in a folder-type portable phone is provided to install the antenna of a folder-type portable at a folder cover and to improve the radiant characteristics of the antenna. CONSTITUTION: In a folder-type portable phone composed of a folder body(20), a folder cover(22) and a hinge part connecting the folder body(20) and the folder cover(22) mechanically, an antenna connection device consists of an antenna assembly(24), a semi rigid coaxial cable(28), a flexible board(30) and a main board(32). The antenna assembly(24) is coupled to an end of the folder cover(22). The semi rigid coaxial cable(28), embedded in the folder cover(22), connects the antenna assembly(24) and the main board(32). The flexible board(30), formed in the hinge part, has a common grounding plane with the main board(32) and receives an electrical signal from the semi rigid coaxial cable(28). The main board(32) is embedded in the folder body(20) and has an overall circuitry configuration for the portable phone.
