<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a hollow container having high transparency and high mechanical strength, generating no heat shrinkage even at a high temperature and having high heat resistance by biaxial stretch blow molding of a polyethylene terephthalate resin. SOLUTION: A polyethylene terephthalate resin is molded into a preform 1 having a predetermined shape corresponding to the shape of a final molded article by injection molding and, after only the mouth part 3 of the preform 1 is subjected to whitening treatment, the preform is formed into a primary intermediate molded article 4 by biaxial stretch blow molding using a primary blow mold and the primary intermediate molded article 4 is heated by far infrared rays in a state released from the primary blow mold to be forcibly and thermally shrunk and deformed to obtain a secondary intermediate molded article 5 which is, in turn, subjected to secondary blow molding by a secondary blow mold so that stretching deformation quantity is extremely reduced as compared with the primary blow molding and thermally set to form a hollow container 6.</p> |
