PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new dihydrofuro[3,4-b]quinolin-1-one compound having antitumor activities. SOLUTION: This new compound is the one of the formula (I) [wherein, a dotted line over a solid line represents a single bond or a double bond; R0 is H or the like; R1 and R2 are each H or the like; R3 is H or the like; X is 0 or the like; and Ar is an aryl or the like], an optical isomer thereof, a hydrate thereof, a solvate thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid-addition salt thereof. The method for producing the same and the pharmaceutical composition containing the same are also provided.
