PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording sheet, capable of obtaining a printing quality, excellent in boundary oozing and not enlarging the dot gain of the same, by a method wherein the strength of paper surface is improved by providing an overcoat layer and amine or metallic ion is introduced into the overcoat layer. SOLUTION: In an ink jet recording sheet consisting of an ink receiver layer, formed on a substrate, and an overcoat layer, formed on the ink receiver layer, the principal constituent of the ink receiver layer is silica and bonding constituent while the principal constituent of the overcoat layer is a polyurethane base resin or a cellulose base resin. |
