PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a conventional mold has high possibility of generating a pattern flaw on a molding surface and is inferior to durability and mold releasability. SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a mold has a step for forming a resist closely bonding and reinforcing layer on the surface of a support 11 becoming a mold 17, a step for laminating a resist layer on the surface of the resist closely bonding and reinforcing layer, a step for forming a molding surface having a predetermined shape on the resist layer, a step for removing the resist layer, the resist closely bonding and reinforcing layer and a part of the support 11 while holding the contour shape of the molding surface to form a molding surface 15' only due to the support 11 and a step for coating the molding surface 15' of the support with an ultraviolet permeable release layer 16.
