PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form uniform images having an image density not greatly changed in an entire density range and a reduced density variation even when the registration is finely changed by a physical accuracy error, in a recording apparatus which records by a multipath method. SOLUTION: Multi-valued image data is sorted in accordance with densities by a gray level sort part 205. Multi-valued image data is distributed by a data conversion part 206 to a plurality of the number of times for scanning a predetermined region and converted on the basis of the sorted result of the gray level sort part 205. Each of the converted data is lowered in gray level by a binarization process part 207 based on the sorted result, whereby images with a complementary relationship reduced are formed. A dependency of an image density change onto a registration change in the entire density range can be reduced accordingly. |
