PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a curable composition for providing a cured material having a high fracture toughness value and flexural strength in use for a restorative dental material, usable instead of a metal restorative dental material in restoration of a part to which a high occlusion pressure is applied, useful as a restorative dental material capable of carrying out restoration having no color difference between the restorative dental material and natural teeth. SOLUTION: This curable composition comprises (A) a polymerizable monomer containing a polymerizable unsaturated bond-containing N-substituted amide compound of the formula, (B) an inorganic mixed filler composed of 40-99 wt.% of an approximately spherical inorganic particle having an average particle diameter in the range of >0.1μm and <=5μm and 60-1 wt.% of an inorganic fine particle having 0.01-0.1μm average particle diameter or an inorganic filler obtained by compounding the inorganic mixed filler with (D) an amorphous inorganic particle which has an average particle diameter in the range of >0.1μm and <=9μm and comprises <=3 wt.% of particle having >=10μm particle diameter and (C) a polymerization initiator.
