PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for dephosphorizing by crystallization capable of keeping stable and high dephosphorizing effect, reducing equipment cost and operation cost and recycling the separated and removed crystal as a fertilizer or a soil conditioner. SOLUTION: In the method of removing phosphorus in waste water containing a phosphorus compound, the crystallization dephosphorizing method is provided with a raw water adjusting process for adding magnesium in the molar ratio 1-3 times of that of phosphorus into the waste water and adjusting to pH 7.5-10 by alkali, a crystallization reaction process for depositing the crystal of magnesium phosphate by adding a crystallization nucleus material in the adjusted mixed liquid and stirring, a filtration process for supplying the floc-containing liquid in the crystallization reaction process to a fixed bed filter device packed with a magnesium phosphate compound crystal and filtering fine floc and a crystal separating process for separating the magnesium phosphate compound crystal by supplying the crystal-containing liquid in the crystallization reaction process to a crystal separation device.
