PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing apparatus for the drum type workpiece which is simple in structure but can process the spline after correcting the circumferential wall section so that the spline diameter of the circumferential wall section of the drum type workpiece reaches a predetermined value. SOLUTION: The processing apparatus for the drum type workpiece comprises workpiece holding members 12, 19, 24, positioned so as to enable relative displacement to the base section 10, 11, an energizing spring 17 which energizes the workpiece holding member, a die section 37 constituting one of mold structural elements for processing the circumferential wall section, correcting the circumferential wall section in the direction of the radius inwardly by making contact with the peripheral surface of the circumferential wall section 29 of the workpiece 27, and a die member 33 incorporating the adjuster section 38 which adjusts the correction volume of the peripheral wall, a punch member 41 which constitutes one of mold structural elements and processes the circumferential wall section jointly with the die member and a driving member 35 which drives the die member.
