PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cloth washing device for a filter cloth fixing type filter press for washing the filter plates by every block and washing optional numbers of filter plates within an optional time. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a frame 2 suspending the filter plates 4 to be freely moved, a filter plate moving device 12 for successively forwarding the filter plates 4, a washing device 16 moving along the arrangement direction of the filter plates 4 on the frame 2, and a control device. The washing device 16 is provided with a sensor 21 for detecting respective filter plates 4, and a washing pipe 20 for injecting high pressure washing water toward the filter plates 4, and the control device is provided with a counter to count the number of the filter plates at a washing start from the initial filter plate to the filter plate starting the washing, and a counter to count the number the filter plates at a washing end from the filter plate at a washing start to the plate ending the washing, and the device washes the filter plates equivalent to the number of the filter plates set preliminarily, for washing the filter plates from the plate at a washing start to the filter plate at a washing end.
