PURPOSE: A method to manufacture an earthen brick and the earthen brick are provided to reduce the cost by manufacturing the brick without burning at high temperature and putting glaze on the brick, and to enhance the strength by adding natural adhesive and lime. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method comprises five steps. In the first step(1), natural loess is pulverized. The water content of the loess is 10 parts by weight and less. In the second step(2), 100 parts by weight of pulverized loess, 1-5 parts by weight of rice straw and 1-3 parts by weight of yarn of discontinuous fiber are mixed. In the third step(3), natural adhesive, very small amount of sodium and lime are mixed with the mixture of the second step, and then agitated. In the fourth step(4), the agitated mixture is poured into a mold, and pressurized to be formed in a desirable shape. In the fifth step(5), the shaped earthen-brick is dried in a shaded lot.
