摘要 PURPOSE: A structure of an air bearing spindle is provided to improve accuracy and reliability and to prevent a change of material quality and reduction of life by conducting heat, which is generated by friction between the air and the spindle, to the spindle. CONSTITUTION: A structure of an air bearing spindle includes an auxiliary body(112) and a fixing cap(110). The auxiliary body is laid under an inner surface of a fixing cap and has a separate space separated from a supporting shaft(111) of a rotor(102) in a predetermined interval and a plurality of air nozzles(105) for injecting air to an outer diameter surface(104) of a spindle(103). The fixing cap has a plurality of air flow paths(107) for supplying air to the auxiliary body. The outer diameter surface of the spindle rubbed with the air injected from the air nozzles is coated with ceramic(114).
