PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the shift shock by controlling the drive torque during shifting, so that a smooth ideal waveform is produced. SOLUTION: A drive torque computing means presumes the torque of the output shaft of an automatic transmission, from the engine torque characteristics or the characteristics of a torque converter, and on the basis of the presumed drive torque, a target torque pattern during shifting is generated. An engine torque control computing means computes the control amount to control the output torque of the engine, i.e., the ignition timing correction amountΔθig, so that the deviation of the drive torque presumed by the drive torque computing means from the target value nullifies. With this ignition timing correction, the drive torque is made to approximate a smooth target torque. |
