PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wall thickness, the weight and the cost of a superplastic forming mold subjected to temperature and pressure. SOLUTION: A lower mold 16 is integrally joined to a lower divided furnace 30 by mounting the both ends of the lower mold 16 on a bracket 35, 35 through a heat insulating piece 36, 36 and joining them with a bolt 37, 37. Similarly, an upper mold 13 is integrally joined to an upper divided furnace 40 by mounting the both ends of the upper mold 13 on the bracket 42, 42 through the heat insulating piece 46, 46 and joining them with a bolt 47, 47. Therefore, this reinforcing reduces effectively the rigidity, the weight of the mould and its cost.
