PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermocycler which is modified so that a microtiter plate is lifted and removed without applying a specific force after each of process steps. SOLUTION: After opening a cover, a lift member 7 incorporated in a few number of blind holes 6 formed between the dents 4 of a heating surface 3 unleashes a microtiter plate from the heating surface 3. Then the microtiter plate 13 is lifted about 2-3 mm way up, so that it can be removed without applying force. Each of these lift members 7 is made up of a coil spring 8 and a contact pin 9 formed of, for example, PEEK, and the contact pin 9 is inserted into the coil spring 8 and pushes up the lower side surface of the microtiter plate 13 by the round and flat contact surface 12 of the contact pin 9. The spring constant of the lift member 7 is about 6 N/mm.
